Mida’s Touch Gel formula is one of the latest innovation in the world of professional nail enhancements. Gel is easier to apply than Acrylics, making it the ideal system for beginner and professional nail technicians. Gel Nails are easy to apply, odour free, hard wearing and beautiful to look at. Whether you're a beginner or an accomplished nail tech, to offer a modern service, you need to learn Gel nails. In addition unlike other gel nail brands Mida’s Touch Gel polish do not require a primer, giving healthier natural nails.

Gel Nails are in demand from customers who have tried them and loved them. Since Gel nails last 2 – 5 weeks, are healthier, look more natural and have a lighter feel, customers are prepared to pay a premium for this service.

Mida’s Touch Gel Nail course is ideal for those looking to train to become competent and offer the service to paying clients. There are 2 courses available:

Basic Course: Gel polish manicure lasting approx. 2 hours in salon, with up to 10 hours self-practice followed by an in salon assessment taken 1 week (or so) later if certificate required

Advance Course: Builder Gel extension, in-tip and sculptured 1 day course, followed by assessment 1 – 2 weeks later (requires self-practice for at least 10 hours).

All materials are provided for the in-salon training and has full support via telephone and email. The course is based on Nationally recognized curriculums, fully accredited by ABT Insurance. Whether you want to go mobile, work from home, in a salon or purely for self-interest the course will prove a worthwhile investment.

Introduction to "gel nails"

Gel Nails are the future of the nail industry! Europe is already 90% GELS, the USA will be too within 10 years! Gels are and will be the "hot" service that clients demand. No other service can give clients both a natural nails look and feel combined with the convenience and durability of acrylic nails. Many clients have tired of acrylic nails in this past decade because of the disadvantages that can be associated with them (such as the odors and lifting and nail damage, etc) . These same clients now flock to salons in record numbers for "natural nail" manicures with many spa type add-ons to increase the ticket price. BUT…. Many of these clients have already grown weary of the weekly appointments and rigorous home maintenance requirements of "natural" nails. They want another alternative; they want natural beauty combined with strength and durability. Now you can give clients what they want…… Gel nails ARE the best of both worlds!

Immediate gratification and a healthy nail philosophy! Instant length and beauty can be achieved at the first visit by utilizing tips or forms in the gel nail full-set. The ultimate long-term goal with gels is for the client to end up growing out and wearing her (or his!) own long, strong, beautiful, HEALTHY nails under the gel; so that she is no longer to be considered wearing artificial nails, but with the gel becoming essentially just a very strong, bonded base coat to protect her own nails from cracking, splitting, peeling, chipping, etc. She is now wearing a nail enhancement, not "fake" nails, and the enhancement need never be removed, only maintained on a regular schedule! Just as hair color is an enhancement of her natural hair, not "fake" hair, and can be maintained indefinitely. Gel nail enhancements ARE the client's own natural nail…. ONLY BETTER! STEP-BY-STEP GEL NAIL LESSONS

​

Gel Polish Manicure On Natural Nails

​

1. Your hands and your client’s hands should be washed with soap and water and dried thoroughly.

2. Spray your hands and client’s hands with Sanitize and gently massage. 

3. Using a disinfected stainless steel cuticle pusher, gently push back the eponychium, which is living tissue.

4. Using a curette or similar implement, remove the cuticle from the nail plate. Be sure to pull down on the lateral folds to remove cuticle that is hiding there. Make sure the cuticle line is clean of any thin, transparent tissue that could still be covering the nail plate. If any tissue (cuticle) is left on the nail plate, it could retain moisture and cause lifting of the nail enhancement.

5. Remove the shine from the natural nail by lightly buffing the surface with Mida's Touch 180 Grit File. Use gentle strokes following the contour of the natural nail and move the file in the direction of nail plate growth.

6. Brush away filings with a Plush Brush.

7. Cleanse the the natural nail with anti bacteria cleanse and acetone and let it dry to a chalky white finish, make sure its clean from hard skin and cuticle and dust free.

8. Apply evenly Base gel to the nails and cap the free edge, avoid touching the skin around the cuticle , Cure for 60 second on LED  lamp or 2 mins on uv lamp

9. Apply 1st layer of color gel evenly and cap the free edge, avoid touching the skin around the cuticle , cure for 60 second on LED lamp or 2 mins on UV lamp

10. Repeat step '9' for the 2nd layer

11. Apply Top Gel cure for 2 second on UV or LED Lamp

12. DONE

Natural Nail Overlay or Tip on Overlay

​

1. Your hands and your client’s hands should be washed with soap and water and dried thoroughly.

2. Spray your hands and client’s hands with Sanitize and gently massage. 

3. Using a disinfected stainless steel cuticle pusher, gently push back the eponychium, which is living tissue.

4. Using a curette or similar implement, remove the cuticle from the nail plate. Be sure to pull down on the lateral folds to remove cuticle that is hiding there. Make sure the cuticle line is clean of any thin, transparent tissue that could still be covering the nail plate. If any tissue (cuticle) is left on the nail plate, it could retain moisture and cause lifting of the nail enhancement.

5. Remove the shine from the natural nail by lightly buffing the surface with Mida's Touch 180 Grit File. Use gentle strokes following the contour of the natural nail and move the file in the direction of nail plate growth.

6. Brush away filings with a Plush Brush.

7. Apply an Elation Nail Tip. Cut, file, and blend. 

8. Cleanse the the natural nail to the false tips with anti bacteria cleanse and follow with acetone and let it dry to a chalky white finish, make sure its clean from hard skin and cuticle and dust free.

9. Apply evenly Base gel to the nails and cap the free edge, avoid touching the skin around the cuticle , Cure for 60 second on LED  lamp or 2 mins on uv lamp

10. Repeat step '9'

11. Using the Touch Tip Brush of your choice, apply Mida's Touch Builder Gel (Sheer Pink, Radiant Pink, Blush or Clear) in polish-style strokes from cuticle to free edge. Cure for 90 seconds. For the best results, use the Mida's touch super power 60w UV/LED Lamp.

12. If you are using a  Diamond Gel, or Brush On French White to create a smile line, remove the tacky dispersion layer with a Nail Wipe lightly saturated with Cleanse. If you are covering the entire nail with a Balance Color Gel or creating a design, leave the tacky dispersion layer intact.

13. Apply your choice of Mida's touch Color Gel or Brush On French White for your desired look (nail art, colored French manicure, or permanent nail polish) and cure for two minutes.

14. For deeper color intensity, apply a second layer of gel and cure for two minutes.

15. Apply clear builder gel and cure for 90 secod

16. Remove the tacky dispersion layer with a Nail Wipe lightly saturated with Cleanse. 

17. File and buff if necessary then dust away with brush and cleanse

18. Apply Mida's Toouch Top Gel ( extra shine nine wipe top coat ) cure for 90 second

19. DONE

TIPS : Clean your Touch Tip Brush with a Nail Wipe saturated with Cleanse.

Gel Polish ,Diamond gel, & Shining star Gel over Gel Enhancements (Tips Applications)

​

1. After shaping and filing the gel nail ( after natural nails overlay  or tip applications step 1 to 11 ), dust off filings with a Plush Brush and wipe the enhancement clean with a Nail Wipe lightly saturated with Cleanse.

2. Apply the Mida's Touch Color Gel of your choice for desired look (nail art, colored ,French manicure, Diamond Gel or Shining star Gel). Cure for two minutes.

3. If using a Color Gel , Diamond Gel , Shining Star or Brush On French White to create a smile line, remove the tacky dispersion layer with a Nail Wipe  clightly saturated with Cleanse. If covering the entire nail with a Balance Color Gel or creating a design, leave the tacky dispersion layer intact.

4. For deeper color intensity, apply a second layer of  Color Gel , diamond gel, or shining star and cure for two minutes.

5. Apply Mida's Touch top Gel ( None wipe top coat ) cure for 90 seconds

6. Clean your Touch Tip Brush with a Nail Wipe saturated with Cleanse.

NOTE: If additional layers of gel are required to “build” the apex, apply Mida's Touch Builder Clear over the second layer of color (AFTER STEP '4' ) . Remove the tacky dispersion layer with a Nail Wipe lightly saturated with Cleanse.

8. File and shape the enhancement with Mida's touch 100/180 Grit File. After shaping and filing, dust off filings with a Plush Brush and wipe the enhancement clean with a Nail Wipe lightly saturated with Cleanse.

9. THEN DO STEP '5'

Acrylic with Color Gel Polish, Diamond Gel, & Shining Star Overlay (Permanent Polish)

​

1. After shaping and filing the acrylic nail, dust off filings with a Plush Brush and wipe the enhancement clean with a Nail Wipe lightly saturated with Cleanse.

 2. Apply the Color Gel Polish, Diamond gel or Shining Star of your choice in polish-like strokes from cuticle to free edge. Cure for two minutes.

3. For deeper color intensity, apply a second layer of Gel polish, Diamond Gel or Shining star gel and cure for two minutes.

4. Apply Top Gel ( Mida's touch None wipe top coat ) cure for 90 seconds.

. 5. Clean your Touch Tip Brush with a Nail Wipe saturated with Cleanse.

Sculptured Builder Gel enhancement 

 

1. Your hands and your client’s hands should be washed with soap and water and dried thoroughly.

2. Spray your hands and client’s hands with Sanitize and gently massage. 

3. Using a disinfected stainless steel cuticle pusher, gently push back the eponychium, which is living tissue.

4. Using a curette or similar implement, remove the cuticle from the nail plate. Be sure to pull down on the lateral folds to remove cuticle that is hiding there. Make sure the cuticle line is clean of any thin, transparent tissue that could still be covering the nail plate. If any tissue (cuticle) is left on the nail plate, it could retain moisture and cause lifting of the nail enhancement.

5. Remove the shine from the natural nail by lightly buffing the surface with Mida's Touch 180 Grit File. Use gentle strokes following the contour of the natural nail and move the file in the direction of nail plate growth.

6. Brush away filings with a Plush Brush.

7. Cleanse the the natural nail with anti bacteria cleanse and follow with acetone and let it dry to a chalky white finish, make sure its clean from hard skin and cuticle and dust free.

8. Apply evenly Base gel to the nails and cap the free edge, avoid touching the skin around the cuticle , Cure for 60 second 

9. Apply evenly the Strengthener Gel Cure for 60 second.

10. Apply the nails form correctly,

11. Using the Touch Tip Brush of your choice, apply Thin layer of Mida's Touch Builder Gel (Sheer Pink, Radiant Pink, Blush or Clear) in polish-style strokes from the cuticle down to the nails form choose the length of client choice. Cure for 30 seconds. For the best results, use the Mida's touch super power 60w UV/LED Lamp.

12. Take the nails form off gently,

13. Apply second layer of builder gel colour of your choice  from cuticle to the free edge and cure for 60 second.

14. Cleanse the tacky layer, file and shape the nails, brush away the dust and cleans

15. Apply your choice of Mida's touch Colour Gel ,nail art, French manicure, Diamond Gel, or Shining Star gel gel colour for your desired look (NO NEED BASE GEL ) and cure for 60 second.

16. For deeper colour intensity, apply a second layer of gel and cure for 60 second

17. Apply Mida's Touch Top Gel ( extra shine none wipe top coat ) cure for 60 second

19. DONE
